Ice Magic International are the proud manufacturers of roller skating rinks & roller discos. We offer rental and sales of our product globally with a multitude of happy customers who have purchased or hired our roller skating rinks with great results. We have 14 years of trading and in this time we are proud of our 100% safety record with no claim ever being made against our insurance, a true measure of the standards that we adhere to with regard to health and safety issues.

The roller skating rink surface is made from a high density UV stabilized 18mm plastic. It can be used in any weather and due to it being UV stabilized it will not crack or distort. The installation of the surface is a simple method of tongue and grove which gives easy installation and removal plus a seemless glide throughout the rink. The simplcity of its structure gives it the mobile properties. The surface can also be manufactured in a variety of different colours, shapes and sizes as seen in the image above. All our products come with a standard 10 year warranty and are ISO9001 Quality Assurance Registered. Barriers are precision cut and pre-constructed in 2m and 1m sections for ease of installation. When used in conjunction with the 18mm Panels they are located at the edge of the floor surface and attached to the outer groove of the rink floor using small sections of the tongue and groove splines.

Rental/sales of our product is a great way of fundraising or any type of event you wish. We offer the roller skating rink you see in the image above with a music system, lighting and any customization you would like/require. Your location would affect cost due to delivery purposes but the distance is not a major factor to the company.

Dunloy Dancing on Ice 2012

Ice Magic was proud to be invited to be part of the Dunloy Dancing on Ice Skating completion 2012. The sports hall was transformed in 3 days from artificial sports turf to a fantastic entertainment venue.

Novice skaters were trained over a 9 week period by 3 times British figure skating champion Karla Quinn. The 8 skaters, 4 girls and 4 boys have been practising at least 4 times per week. The results were excellent! Video footage of the skaters over the period showed how much they had improved. They trained on ice magic’s 12x12 rink before our installation team moved the rink to the venue.

Dunloy which is 40 minutes from Belfast, Northern Ireland certainly came alive with over 1000 people attending the event. The event was a charity fundraiser for the local community sports complex.

The full roller skate rink package. The roller rink connects together using a rod system which once installed creates the perfect skating surface which is smooth and seamless. The barrier system then locks into the side of the rink. The rinks can be installed on any surface including grass. The barriers can be used for advertising using vinyl graphics. In traditional style we can produce a DJ booth in the centre on the rink.

Ice Magic® help Harrods launch it's 'Christmas World' department

Reflecting the truely global nature of the UK's economy Ice Magic have been involved in what's recently been reported as Londons "Ramadan rush". Supplying a Synthetic Ice Rink that features in Harrods recent online Christmas promotions. But why so early in the year? well it seems many tourists from the Middle East had asked to buy Christmas decorations before going home for the Muslim month of fasting, starting on Monday. Despite Christmas is not being officially celebrated by Muslims, many decorate their homes.

Harrods built an their ice rink on it's roof, eight floors above Knightsbridge, to film an internet video marking the launch of its Christmas World department. The rink measures 11x13 metres, is only 18mm thick and made from plastic injected with silicon. The Ice Magic team had a great time installing an Ice Rink for this rather special client. The online advertsing campaign features none other than Mr Christmas himself and a rather bemused security guard.

The new Sky advert campaign that was launched with the new Sky family the Spenglers, features Ice Magic’s Synthetic Ice Rink. The shoot took 3 days to complete in a massive warehouse filled with hundreds of extra’s and of course the Spenglers them selves. Ice magic was shown to be head and shoulders above competitors in the market place and chosen to provide the Synthetic Ice Rink to Sky for the commercial, which has become a resounding success.

Synthetic Ice rink company Ice Magic have returned from 2010 Leisure Industry week at the NEC with a book full of orders, and having left a fantastic impression on customers and the show organisers alike. Occupying both the outdoor exhibition space with a demonstration Ice Rink, featuring professional skaters and impromptu curling contests and a custom designed stand indoors, saw the Ice Magic team draw a lot of praise and attention from the show organisers and customers.

The Ice Magic team, were kept consistently busy with a stream of interest and questions. The indoor and outdoor exhibition featured the unveiling of their cutting edge low resistance, high glide surface "Permaglide" which sets the companies’ synthetic surface apart from worldwide competitors. Steve Winward who had a chance to actually skate the outdoor surface commented, "wow this is great fun, you can really get your speed up on this new surface"

The School of Systems Engineering at the University of Reading is implementing a project to develop a robot that emulates the action of human skating and in the hope that a fully functioning prototype will be completed and tested by mid 2010. To assist this futuristic endeavour, Ice Magic International Ltd has agreed to sponsor the project by supplying an 'ice' floor and associated technical support. Not much has changed within the synthetic ice rink market place over recent years until now. That said, Ice Magic International Ltd is pleased to announce the launch of it's new product, Ice Magic® Perma-Glide. This revolutionary new ice skating panel is injected with silicone at the time of manufacture making it permanently slippery and taking away the requirement for the ice rink to be sprayed with Glycol or a similar glide enhancing liquid at regular intervals throughout the day. This of course saves a great deal of time for rink personnel but additionally provides a considerable cost saving on the purchase of glycol.
