Not much has changed within the synthetic ice rink market place over recent years until now. That said, Ice Magic International Ltd is pleased to announce the launch of it's new product, Ice Magic® Perma-Glide. This revolutionary new ice skating panel is injected with silicone at the time of manufacture making it permanently slippery and taking away the requirement for the ice rink to be sprayed with Glycol or a similar glide enhancing liquid at regular intervals throughout the day. This of course saves a great deal of time for rink personnel but additionally provides a considerable cost saving on the purchase of glycol. More importantly, and following extensive trials by professional ice skaters and ice hockey players, the feedback is that Perma-Glide provides the closest skating experience to real ice that you can imagine and gives a superior skating experience to that experienced on standard synthetic ice products.

Skates
As with the pen in writing, when skating, everyone expresses themselves - their way of life with the skates. Strong and vigorous for those in hockey, quick and fast for those who race, light and graceful for the performer, cheerful and carefree for children.
Ice magic offers products that ensure high performance, reliability and durability.

Skate Grinders
At ice magic we only sell machines that anyone can operate whilst achieving a professional result in as little time as possible.
We have taken the mysticism and complexity out of skate profiling and sharpening by providing machines that are easy to use and reliable. We also supply grinding wheels and diamond dressers.

Rink Cleaning Machine
At ice magic we understand that time is important so that’s why we supply the right equipment for the job. Our Scrubber Driers combination machines are able to scrub the floor and simultaneously collect the dirty water.

Glide Agent
Available in 25 litre barrels or the larger 205 litre drums.

Penguin Skate Aids
These fantastic fiberglass penguins are designed to help the little ones get their balance on the skating surface. Free standing with skate blades on the bottom the penguins are pushed along in front of the skater with two handles on the side to support themselves. A great learning aid and great fun.

Disabled Chair
We feel at ice magic that everyone should be given the opportunity to enjoy skating so we offer disable chairs that can be pushed by a friend. Your guests are strapped in, booted up with ice skates and able to enjoy the thrill of ice-skating

Synthetic Ice Rink Manufacture

Our synthetic rinks are manufactured from a strong 100% ultra density polyethylene which will not warp, crack, splinter or corrode. The rink floor is made up of 18mm thick 1-meter square slabs, which connect together using the latest tongue and grove technology. Within each 1-meter section a 1-meter tongue is inserted to form a connection between the two slabs to stop the slabs moving apart and to create a smooth, seamless surface with no joints or ridges. Due to the versatility of our mobile ice rinks we can build them any size or shape to fit even the most demanding venue.

Our barriers are made from tough polyethylene plastic, which connect directly to the portable rink floor using tongue and grove rods locking the whole rink together with no need to bolt the barriers to the floor.

Ice Panels
Pro Skate 'Ice' Panels are 1m x 1m in size, 18mm thick and offer a user friendly and practical installation technique. The warranty on these panels is 10 years from new. The skating quality of the Ice Magic® panels is excellent and endorsed by top skating professionals and skating coaches alike. The Pro Skating 'Ice' Panels fix together with tongue and groove splines, creating a virtually seamless surface. These splines are precision engineered for ease of installation and removal.

Barriers
Barriers are precision cut and pre-constructed in 2m and 1m sections for ease of installation. When used in conjunction with the Pro Skating 18mm 'Ice' Panels they are located at the edge of the 'ice' floor surface and attached to the outer groove of the rink floor using small sections of the tongue and groove splines. Ice Magic® barriers are pre-assembled using a unique through security fixing system which uses a one size miniature Allen key bolt. This provides the barrier sections with extra rigidity. Barriers have a 15 year warranty.

Due to the unique way our ice rink panels connect together we can custom make rinks to your precise specification. In the past we have constructed rinks to outline customer’s logos or to form a part of their advertising campaign. We have also designed rinks to fit on stages to accompany west end shows and for product launches around the world. We have custom made rinks for film and television production

With an on-going commitment to Research and Development of our product range and boasting our own in-house design team, Ice Magic International Ltd is able to meet the requirements of clients who want to consider acquiring a non-standard ice rink package. Any size, shape, colour and dimensions can therefore be fulfilled to specific instructions and including both the ice rink floor and barriers being manufactured to maximise a client or sponsors brand image. There are also a number of add on attractions that can be supplied to complement the ice rink attraction and with more information upon request.

During the 14 years that Ice Magic has been trading, we have to date risen to the challenge of a number of such requests and including the following:

The creation of a Winter Wonderland frozen lake setting at the Millennium Dome (now the O2 Arena) and sponsored by Coca Cola.
The provision of an ice skid pad for Volvo Motor Group as part of a nationwide product launch.
The manufacture of a themed Curling Lane for the launch of a new product by AquaFresh.
The supply of our unique ice panels to Pinewood Studios for use in creating the image of real ice for a number of major film productions.
The installation of a grey lozenge shaped ice floor in woodland in Sweden for the Choice Hotel Group and using real snow for rink barriers.
Most recently, a circular revolving ice pad that was the centre piece of the closing ceremony for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Canada.
