The School of Systems Engineering at the University of Reading is implementing a project to develop a robot that emulates the action of human skating and in the hope that a fully functioning prototype will be completed and tested by mid 2010. To assist this futuristic endeavour, Ice Magic International Ltd has agreed to sponsor the project by supplying an 'ice' floor and associated technical support. We hope to see the robot get it's skates on at an Ice Magic event in due course and with further bulletins on this unique undertaking to follow.
